SOUTH SIDE LIONS CLUB BULLETIN
UPCOMING EVENTS
Thanks so much for recruiting the Southside Lions and Lionettes to volunteer at Microfest! We really appreciate your help and we hope that all of you had a good time!
Now, on the heels of Microfest, the Brewers Heritage Festival is upon us! If you have anyone who is interested in volunteering, we still need volunteers for Saturday, June 6th at the evening session.
They can sign up online at: www.stlbrewfest.com and if they indicate they are a Southside Lion and Lionette, I will assign you beer taps together.
Thanks again for the kids at Lift for Life.
PARALIZED VETERANS
KSD 93.7 “The Bull” is partnering with Paralyzed Veterans of America to put on a radiothon to raise funds for America's disabled veterans on May 21, 2009. Paralyzed Veterans of America helps veterans get the rehab, medical services and counseling they need after suffering a life-changing spinal cord injury.
We need help answering phones the day of the event and taking donations from callers. We will need approximately 20 to 30 volunteers to cover the phones from 6am – 7pm. We’d like to organize three shifts of about 7 people each. (The radio station is on Highlands Plaza Drive West in St. Louis.)
Giving just a few hours of time on May 21 will really help our soldiers who gave so much for us.
Anyone who is interested in volunteering call Rhonda Moore at 626.463.9259. She can sign them up for a shift at the radio station and provide all the pertinent details.

LION’S GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Club is in desperate need of all the members to participate in the Lions Golf tournament. We are in need of players, hole sponsors and prizes. Last year’s participation
was very low and probably the lowest profits in the history of the club. It is time that we hear
from some of the Lion’s that do not participate in other means. Let’s get off our duffs and participate by sponsoring a hole, bring a foursome, donate a prize or getting someone to do so.
